In our industry, it’s easy to get lost in the tech: the sprinklers, the alarms, and the suppression systems. We recently took a moment to refresh our leadership bios, and it reminded us that we aren’t just a group of executives. 

Our leadership team is a blend of decades of industry experience and genuine personality. We’re a collection of guitar-strummers, scuba-divers, and 'mythic' problem solvers who value integrity as much as innovation. Beyond the titles and the tech, we are a team of real people dedicated to the mission of life safety and the power of a good sense of humor."

Meet the Minds Behind Radius

The Architects of Strategy

It starts with a unique blend of engineering logic and agile movement. Our CEO, Rob Baxter, P.Eng., is legendary for his ability to deconstruct a problem until you actually feel sorry for the problem itself. He brings a systematic "engineer’s eye" to everything, from re-inventing fire safety to plotting the tactical destruction of his tennis rivals.

He is balanced by our President, Mike Baxter, a man who truly "dreams in value stream maps." Mike’s obsession with Agile Thinking ensures our operations are always evolving. When he isn’t moving the company forward, he’s either strumming a guitar or planning his next family scuba dive.

The Heart, Culture and Community

A company’s soul is found in its culture. Melissa Bay, our Director of People & Culture, is the architect of our award-winning environment. Between her legendary chocolate stash and her weekly Mario Kart battles with her family, she ensures Radius remains a place where people feel seen and supported.

Working alongside her is Joslyn Alderson, our VP of Sales and Marketing. Jos is the "strategic soul" of the company, playing 3D speed chess with marketing trends while simultaneously spearheading our corporate giving programs. She’s the heartbeat of our office, even when she’s commuting to Texas to visit her husband, Sam.

And then there is Judy Wang, our VP of Finance. Judy is the personification of integrity. While her calculator is always within reach, it’s her thoughtfulness and adventurous spirit that make her a cornerstone of our leadership.

The Voice and the Visionaires

Communication is key to safety. Dave Baxter, our Business Development Manager and Partner, is the "voice" of Radius. Known for his spot-on impressions and deep fire industry knowledge, Dave uses his platform to advocate for life safety with a signature sense of humor.

In the field, Richard Hambrick leads Radius Security USA with the discipline of a basketball coach. A man of faith and family, Richard uses the lessons of the "full-court press" to teach teamwork and integrity, ensuring our US operations are as disciplined as they are effective.

The Technical Savants and Relationship Builders

When it comes to the "nitty-gritty" of fire protection, Dave Esau our Director of Fire Services and resident "sprinkler savant." With 32 years of expertise and an unrepentant love for Excel spreadsheets, Dave ensures our fire services are precise. Off the clock, he’s a mountain biker and a dedicated "girl-dad."

Rounding out the team is Mike Gibson, our Director of Operations. Standing at 6'4", Mike brings a literal "high-level" perspective to the office. But don’t let the height fool you; his real impact comes from his surgical calm and his dedication to building self-sufficient teams. Whether he’s portaging a canoe through the backcountry with his kids or defending the crease on the hockey rink, Mike’s life is defined by the same careful preparation he brings to our operational workflow.
